The Haynes Theatre Department is putting on a production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. featuring many Haynes students. Meagan Morvant will portray Ariel with Benaiah Harvey as Sebastian, and Ashton Morris as King Triton. The production will also feature great vocals, incredible dancing, marvelous costume designs, and dazzling special effects. All of the details cannot be disclosed so as not to ruin the surprise. The play opens on November fourteenth at East Jefferson High School and is directed through the joint efforts of Mr. Rene Piazza, Mrs. Michelle McLean, and Mr. Blake Balu.
There are also several Haynes students in productions elsewhere. Senior Jessica Smith performed in Legally Blonde: The Musical with TheatreThirteen at Rivertown.
